Job Summary

We are seeking an organized and efficient Manager, Procurement Operations to lead our non-trade purchasing team. This role is central to making sure that our company's day-to-day operations run smoothly by overseeing our purchase order process and ensuring strict
adherence to corporate policies and financial audit requirements. This role reports to the Senior
Director, Finance.

This individual will manage a small team responsible for accurately and efficiently processing purchase orders (POs) for all internal departments (e.g., IT, Marketing, Finance). In addition to team leadership, this Manager will have direct ownership of two key operational areas: administering our corporate travel platform and managing the inventory for essential retail and
E-commerce supplies. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in procurement operations,
stakeholder support, and team management abilities.

Main Responsibilities

Leadership & Procurement Operations:
  • Lead, coach, mentor and develop a small team of procurement specialists;
  • Ensure that all requisitions are properly processed, reviewed, and converted into accurate purchase orders in compliance with company policy;
  • Collaborate closely with category managers to ensure that POs align with established supplier agreements and strategies;
  • Act as the first point of escalation for issues related to the PO process, providing exceptional customer service and guidance on procurement processes, policies, and systems;
  • Act as the key procurement liaison to the Accounts Payable Department, helping to investigate and resolve PO-related invoice discrepancies;
  • Foster strong cross-functional cooperation by building bridges between the procurement team and the broader Finance department, ensuring procurement operations function as collaborative partner;
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate the PO process to increase efficiency and data accuracy, including through the use of AI.

Inventory & Retail Operations Management:
  • Take ownership of the operational supply chain for essential non-trade supplies, specifically E-commerce bags, store shopping bags, and hangers;
  • Partner with the Marketing Department to ensure that new designs are approved before production;
  • Manage inventory levels, develop demand forecasts in partnership with the Operations, Logistics, and FP&A teams, and create POs to ensure supply continuity;
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of goods and resolve any operational or quality issues.

Travel Program Management:
  • Act as the primary administrator for the company's corporate travel platform;
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with our Travel Management Company to ensure high service levels and resolve traveler issues;
  • Drive employee adoption of the travel platform and ensure compliance with the
  • corporate travel and expense policy;
  • Provide support, training, and troubleshooting for employees using the travel system;
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team during the annual budget cycle, providing essential data, trend analysis, and cost assumptions for travel-related expenses;
  • Pull and consolidate travel spend data for reporting to Finance leadership as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field;
  • 5-7 years of experience in a procurement operations, purchasing, or procure-to-payrole;
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with a proven ability to manage, develop, and motivate a team;
  • Deep expertise in the requisition-to-purchase-order (R2P) process and a strong understanding of how it connects to the full procure-to-pay (P2P) cycle;
  • Exceptional internal stakeholder management and customer service skills;
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements;
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast- paced environment;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), Google Workspace, and procurement/ERP software (ReQlogic, Dynamics GP);
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required for daily communication with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders, both within and outside of Quebec.

Preferred (Nice-to-Haves):
  • Experience in a retail or E-commerce environment;
  • Specific experience managing inventory for operational supplies (e.g., packaging, store supplies);
  • Experience administering a corporate travel platform;
  • Experience in ERP implementation projects.
