The Quality Development Engineer is responsible for overseeing new product quality risks and leading quality validation gates throughout the product development lifecycle. This role involves performing risk analysis, collaborating with design and marketing teams, and establishing quality standards for new products.

  • Oversee and mitigate quality risks associated with new product development.
  • Lead quality validation gates during the development process, including risk analysis and action plan definition.
  • Conduct joint evaluations with design and marketing teams, ensuring proper disinfection/treatment if applicable.
  • Create and maintain Acceptance Books for new products, outlining quality criteria.
  • Benchmark competitors' quality standards to ensure competitive product quality.
  • Coordinate Product Quality initiatives across different product poles/lines.
  • Integrate quality considerations early in the product development cycle to prevent issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies for proactive quality assurance in new product launches.
  • Ensure alignment of new product quality with market expectations and company standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of product development processes from a quality perspective.


Profilo

  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and quality gates.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment and mitigation techniques (e.g., FMEA).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (design, marketing, engineering).
  • Experience in creating technical documentation, such as Acceptance Books.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
