Summary: The Director, Stores leads the North America retail fleet and Europe shop-in-shop business, with full ownership of store performance, client experience, and field execution. This is a multi-store leadership role overseeing the full store network, responsible for setting the direction for the retail function and translating company strategy into consistent, high-impact execution across all locations. The role connects HQ strategy to in-store execution across retail, digital, and marketing, ensuring stores are a primary driver of customer engagement, conversion, and brand experience.
This role reports into the VP, Global Sales & Retail.

In compliance with the New York City salary transparency requirements, the potential salary for this position is from $140,000 to $155,000, which represents a range commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills required.
This role reports into the VP, Global Sales & Retail.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Performance & Retail Leadership
- Set and lead the commercial direction and performance of the retail fleet across NA stores and EU SIS
- Establish KPIs and accountability across store teams (sales, conversion, ATV, UPT, client retention)
- Partner with buying and planning to optimize assortment, inventory flow, and sell-through
- Identify and execute opportunities to drive incremental revenue through client development, events, and localized initiatives
Store Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers to drive performance and accountability
- Set the standard for leadership, performance expectations, and ways of working across the store network
- Build a strong talent pipeline and succession plan across the fleet
- Partner with HR on hiring, payroll coordination, performance management, employee engagement, and policy compliance
- Ensure consistent execution of brand standards and team culture
Client Development, Experience & Selling Culture
- Set expectations for service standards, selling behaviors, and overall client experience
- Drive adoption and consistent execution of clienteling and retail CRM tools within stores
- Establish and elevate a selling culture focused on client engagement, conversion, and retention
- Drive appointment-driven selling, localized events, and in-store client engagement
Operational Excellence (in partnership with Operations)
- Ensure disciplined execution of store operations, policies, and procedures
- Partner with Operations leadership on staffing, inventory management, and store efficiency
- Oversee new store openings, renovations, and SIS activations from a retail execution standpoint
- Own store-level response to incidents and business disruptions, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact to operations
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the primary liaison between stores and HQ functions (buying, VM, store planning, brand experience/marketing, operations, digital)
- Represent the retail function in cross-functional decision-making and ensure store priorities are reflected in broader business strategy
- Provide ongoing feedback from stores to inform product, client, and market strategies
Qualifications:
- 8-12+ years of multi-store retail leadership experience, preferably in luxury or contemporary fashion
- Proven track record of driving commercial performance across multiple locations
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities
- Deep understanding of clienteling, customer engagement, and retail execution
- Ability to translate data and insights into actionable strategies
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and commercially driven
