Overview
The Regional Director, West is responsible for leading a defined network of retail stores and Store Managers/Directors through a balance of inspirational, hands-on leadership and strategic business oversight.
This role drives brand elevation and market positioning while ensuring the achievement of sales targets and key performance indicators. The Regional Director is accountable for delivering exceptional client experiences, optimizing operational excellence, and building high-performing, talent-driven teams across the region.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Retail.

Additional Information
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Moncler includes a reasonable estimate of the salary rate range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $190,000.00 to $220,000.00 per year.
In addition to competitive pay, the hired candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, paid parental leave, 11 paid holidays, accrue up to 160 hours of paid vacation time, 2 personal days, employee discounts, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.

Your Impact
Leadership
- Build trusted, collaborative relationships with Store Managers/Directors through consistent one-on-ones, field presence, and qualitative store visits.
- Coach and develop store leaders, identifying capability gaps and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to elevate performance.
- Analyze competitive landscape, local market conditions, and emerging trends to develop strategies that maximize business opportunities.
- Maintain ongoing talent visibility across markets; drive talent mapping and calibration to strengthen bench depth and succession planning.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with department stores and mall partners.
- Mitigate operational and legal risk by ensuring full adherence to company policies and procedures in partnership with HR, Asset Protection, and Legal.
Team Management and Development
- Foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment where employees feel respected, empowered, and positioned to thrive.
- Ensure consistent execution of the Moncler Client Promise and the Moncler Way across all locations.
- Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to proactively recruit best-in-class talent in alignment with business needs.
- Champion a culture of accountability and performance excellence, leveraging performance management tools in partnership with HR and Employee Relations.
- Collaborate with Field Training and HR to identify development needs and ensure effective rollout of training initiatives (onboarding, product knowledge, leadership programs, new store openings).
- Ensure effective execution of monthly touch bases, annual performance reviews, and succession planning discussions to support internal mobility and career growth.
- Partner with store leaders to optimize workforce planning, including traffic-based scheduling, FOH/BOH alignment, and FT/PT ratio optimization.
Client Development
- Cultivate a client-centric culture rooted in relationship building, retention, and lifetime value creation.
- Monitor and drive client progression within the client pyramid, ensuring measurable engagement and growth.
- Execute Moncler's Client Development strategy through clear KPIs, structured tracking, and data-driven action plans.
- Partner with Regional Client Development and Field Training teams to tailor store-level initiatives and ensure measurable ROI.
- Support local market activations, including partnerships with charities and community organizations aligned to key clients.
- Identify and implement innovative initiatives to expand client acquisition and maximize regional market potential.
Business Development
- Closely monitor regional sales performance and ensure stores operate against ambitious yet achievable targets.
- Partner with the VP of Retail and store leadership to develop forward-looking business plans.
- Ensure brand image, storytelling, and presentation are consistently aligned with Moncler's global standards.
- Collaborate with Merchandising and Planning/Allocations to ensure optimal product assortment and availability.
- Reinforce execution of The Moncler Loop, The Moncler Way, and Absolute Actions through direct floor engagement and coaching.
- Ensure teams maintain strong product knowledge and effective utilization of available selling tools.
- Translate corporate strategy into clear, inspiring communication for store teams.
Retail Operations
- Partner with Regional Operations to drive operational excellence across the network.
- Streamline retail processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Safeguard physical security of clients, employees, and company assets.
- Collaborate with Visual Merchandising to adapt market-specific strategies that enhance client experience and drive sales.
- Ensure compliance with inventory management, stock control, and receiving processes.
- Partner on bi-annual inventory audits and stock takes.
- Oversee follow-up on store maintenance to ensure safety and uphold brand standards.
- Ensure grooming guidelines and company policies are consistently communicated and executed.
Financial Performance
- Provide input into annual budget planning, monthly staff cost reviews, and performance forecasting.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve financial targets.
- Ensure strong internal control procedures are in place and monitored.
- Foster a culture of financial discipline and accountability across the region.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Management, or related field.
- Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Work Experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressive retail management experience.
- 5-7+ years leading in a multi-unit capacity.
- Luxury retail experience strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including frequent in-market travel between multiple store locations.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel between stores within the assigned home market on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during store visits, floor coaching, and client engagement.
- Ability to move throughout retail environments, including navigating sales floors, stockrooms, stairs, and back-of-house areas.
- Ability to lift and carry materials, samples, or store supplies up to 20 lbs. as needed.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer or during meetings.
- Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and mobile devices.
- Ability to travel by air as required for business meetings, corporate alignment sessions, and store openings.
