Job Title: Merchandise Planning & Trade Analyst

Department: Global Planning

Reporting to: Planning Systems and Data Manager

Location: London

Context:

Jimmy Choo operates in 200+ DOS across 13 regions in 24 currencies as well as a growing E-commerce platform. Buying is organised through 4 teams, Europe, North America, Japan and Asia and this role will work alongside the regions to manage the supply of replenishment on the top continuative articles.

Role Purpose:

The Merchandise Planning & Trade Analyst acts as the analytical engine for Global Merchandise Planning, supporting decision-making through high-quality insight across trade, inventory, and sales.

This role bridges complex data sets and commercial judgement, owning the accuracy, clarity, and usability of analysis. Working closely with Planning, Distribution, Allocation, and Systems teams, the role ensures that insight is timely, trusted, and actionable.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Act as the primary analytical support for ad-hoc trade, inventory, and sales questions, translating large and complex data sets into clear commercial insight.
  • Own the quality and accuracy of analysis outputs, including Excel models, Power BI views, and concise presentation decks.
  • Proactively identify emerging trade signals, performance trends, and risks, initiating deep-dive analysis where required.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Planning, Distribution, Allocation, and Systems teams to ensure alignment and consistency of insight.
  • Produce structured project work across inventory and sales topics, presenting findings clearly and succinctly for senior stakeholders.
  • Support planning decision-making with fact-based recommendations grounded in data and commercial understanding.


Systems & Data Stewardship:

  • Act as a support for planning systems and reporting tools, focusing on usability, screen structure, and data housekeeping
  • Support system administration activities such as screen maintenance and data validation.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and clarity across all analytical outputs.
  • Highlight opportunities to improve system usability and reporting effectiveness.


Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
  • 2 to 4 years of proven experience in data/business analysis, or merchandise planning in luxury or fashion, or in finance or management control
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to structure and interpret complex data.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including handling large data sets and building clear, user-friendly models.
  • Strong Power BI capability or similar, with experience producing intuitive dashboards
  • Experience with data modelling and DAX with be a bonus.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to assimilate large volumes of data into clear, easy-to-read outputs.
  • Confident working cross-functionally across Planning, Distribution, Allocation, and Systems.
  • Ability to prioritise & work cross functionally
